Canadians watched 3 billion videos online in the month of March. That rather startling number is just one of the reasons Oceanside Web TV was launched a few months ago. Since our launch, we've been test marketing different content to determine exactly what type of story appeals to media consumers in the region, a task made relatively simple through the use of Google Analytics and other services which allow webmasters the ability to track hits, page views, entry pages, exit pages, viewer location and a vast array of other data.

What we have discovered is that there is indeed a huge appetite for new media in Oceanside as the website has received more than 100 thousand hits from Vancouver Island and all over the world. Our research also indicates there is a need for a community hub in Oceanside, a hub that you can turn to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for information and entertainment that harnesses the power of video and sound since the community is under served by traditional broadcast media.

Our team includes individuals with a tremendous amount of experience in radio, television and print media as well as respected members of the Oceanside community who provide their expertise on topics of interest to us all. Our plans for the future are very exciting since we've recently added an additional High Definition camera crew and are currently in the planning stages of a television studio in Oceanside that will provide an opportunity for world class production and the capability to stream live television over the internet.
